Technically yesterday, but first I spent some time browsing idly through Cherryh's "Chanur's Legacy" (I read through the Cherryh reviews on SF Mistressworks a few days ago and had my fancy to reread some Cherryh jogged - Legacy isn't the best book to start that with, last of the Chanur books, but it was closest to hand). Then I got sidetracked (waiting for the coffee to perk) into picking up Neal Stephenson's "The System of the World", which is similarly the last book in the Baroque Cycle. It fell open on the start of the robbing the Tower of London caper (except they aren't, for complex reasons they're making a deposit), which is like most caper movies, but on a huge scale (much like the Baroque Cycle). And then I started skipping around to remind myself where threads went, and suddenly it was 8PM and where had the day gone?
