I was avoiding social media due to Jo Cox's murder. Now I'm mostly caught up, but plan to spend tonight and tomorrow hiding under a doona with lots of fiction and tv.

This is a very wise plan. I might follow your example (after Keiki is in bed). I now want to re-read W. G. Sebald's The Rings of Saturn.

This week has been awful, and that's saying something, given what a lot of 2016 has been like so far. Please, do stop trying to show us how awful you can be, world. We get the idea.

Good heavens. Scanning his Wikipedia entry...his whole life sounds like an incredibly precarious balancing act. O.O Bet his diaries are fascinating.
