Weekend reading roundup

How did your weekend reading go? If you planned on anything specifically, did you read it?

Mercedes Lackey, A Study in Sable (recommended for lovers of Lackey's Elemental Masters series, ideally people who also know something about Sherlock Holmes; not the place to start the series), and Anne Lamott's Help Thanks Wow. The latter is a teeny book about the three types of prayer, each of which is summed up in a single word in the title. V Christian thought, but broadly applicable, I think. Probs not a useful read for an atheist or agnostic, though.
ironed_orchid: watercolour and pen style sketch of a brown tabby cat curl up with her head looking up at the viewer and her front paw stretched out on the left (Default)

Finished Ancillary Sword, read Ancillary Mercy. Was sad there are no more books in the series.
fred_mouse: line drawing of sheep coloured in queer flag colours with dream bubble reading 'dreamwidth' (Default)

I finished a book! It is "Fangirl" by Rainbow Rowell. I'm a bit lukewarm about it. Recommended for people with a knowledge of fandom, because that bit is really well done, and a specific interest in het romance, which I found a bit meh.
