I don't think I ever reported what I had read, so here's what I've done so far this year.
Wishful Drinking by Carrie Fisher (audiobook) How To Fit A Car Seat On A Camel And Other Misadventures Traveling With Kids edited by Sarah Franklin The Wonderful And Terrible Reasons Why I Run Long Distances by The Oatmeal Shockaholic by Carrie Fisher (audiobook)
I had some back pain issues and wasn't feeling well for a while, plus I put reading aside to focus on finishing some more things for fandom_stocking before it closed. I'm a bit behind on reading, but I'm further ahead on fic and other stuff so it balances out. Anyways, there's plenty more time to catch up. I can always just fill my mp3 player with my backlog of audiobooks while I walk.

For a detective novel, it's unusual in that we know from the beginning who did it. The tension comes from what he and his victims are going to do next; around the mid-point the unfoldment is very suspenseful. As the characters develop, the story seemes to slow while the events become rushed. I found the dénouement unsatisfying. Was it because I was married to a compulsive liar / conman and therefore have some experience, that the main character appeared superficially drawn?
Overall: not bad but I need a real Campion novel now!
