I read the minutes to the Body Corporate's AGM (which I was unable to attend) facebook, some twitter, and am going to try to finish Pocket Apocalypse before I fall asleep. I have less than 100 pages to go, so it is theoretically possible.
I'm proofreading-copyediting-editing all at once a book about postcards for a friend. (His great-grandmother's correspondence postcards! They are great! His prose needs... a little work with my hand sander.)
We have to have a talk about commas. I know he thinks he is right, and it is his thing, but by gum I am putting them in because otherwise it's just a stream of words without a breath. And hyphens.
He has it all dummied up in Word (I have tried to have talk with him about that too, Word just Suuuuuuucks for this) and only sent me a PDF so it is v v v difficult to read and correct.
He is a very good, longstanding friend and I do not mind.
Twitter and lots of associated links (it's how I get much of my news), and a bunch of work stuff - Word docs and Excel spreadsheets, plus bookkeeping files, emails etc.
Once the predicted thunderstorms roll in, I'll turn off the computer and read more Howard's End.
