Combined Daily Reading and Intended Reading (Tues 11th/Wednesday 12th)

Because it's still Tuesday in some parts of the world, I've combined the Tuesday and Wednesday posts.

What have you been reading today? (Tuesday or Wednesday: You pick!)
Everything counts, from a novel-length fic to the back of the cereal packet.

And/Or: what haven't you read (yet) this week?

We all have things we mean to read, but never quite find the time, whether it's a bunch of unopened tabs, or an ever growing pile of books by the bed.

What's on your to-be-read list this week?

I have read blogs, facebook, and one page of current study module.

I plan to read All! of the study module, and the other half of the current short story anthology by the end of the weekend.

I've been reading more of The Sixth Extinction, which I put down a while back. Foraminifera! Also, more of Cyberpunk: Malaysia.

I would like to finish Skunk Works. There really isn't much left, but I've gotten a little discouraged because he's started repeating himself, and because there are too many "Other Voices" inserts into the narrative at the moment. Whilst some of them have been entertaining, the last quarter of the book becomes disjointed because of them. I realise there are a lot of things about the development of spy planes that are probably still not cleared for biographies in the public domain, but I would've preferred a few more technical details to all the gushing about what a delight it was to fly the Blackbird from every pilot who flew one.

Oh oh, I also read the newest whisky magazine, which was a mistake because now I want some new whiskies and I'm broke. But it had an article about Michaela Tabb (first female referee at the snooker World Championships!) and that was a delight.

When you get to it, I think you'll find it a real treat.

Have read: Twitter and associated links, friends lists (LJ & DW), bedtime reading (still Dune), and working my way through the first of the City of Astreiant books, Point of Hopes, which I am enjoying very much, as expected.

Intending to read: all of the above, plus the grocery shopping list.

And there are All The Tabs, sitting there, silently judging me. :)

Yep. Just did that, in fact.
