Section one of the assigned readings text for my women's studies class for the fall. It's very...dense. Also that's basically the "establishing parameters" section—it has a whole chapter on how this fictional individual is being oppressed without any of the people responsible for her oppression having done anything on purpose to oppress her, for example; I learned this from the internets years ago—so I have not yet encountered any new concepts.

(I have no idea which of the chapters I'll be required to read, but I want to have a head start on them, whichever they are.)

Lots of technical documents and European Directives. E-mail, baseline social media, the Guardian, dabbling in the new Nature.

Also, on Tuesday I finished Skunk Works. AT LAST \o/ It's an eerily prophetic book (written in 1994). The last few pages of the conclusion were worth persevering for. Especially the bit where he predicts that unmanned drones will dominate air-based warfare tactics by the next century.
