What are you planning to read this weekend? Everything counts! Menus, maps and mysteries included.

Sounds like loads of fun stuff to read! Enjoy!

Textbooks.

I am really hoping to have time to read a thing for pleasure. I don't even care what, as long as it is a thing already in my possession, though I do prefer it be a thing I have not read before.

This! I need to be significantly past page 8 of Current Textbook Chapter - I think there wre 30 pages, and I need it finished ASAP so I can start the assignment. I have several 'reading for pleasure' books on the go - I may try for another chapter of 'Eva Luna' or 'I know why the caged bird sings', depending on how resilient I'm feeling.

I want to finish Wuthering Heights this weekend, because the book club is going to meet very soon! :D

Ooh, how far through are you? I was attempting to sorta reread (I've read abridged for kids versions, but not the full thing), but stalled out. But if you are likely to talk online about it, I might go back and have another go, because I'd love to read commentary on it while it is fresh in my mind.

I am now at 50%. Sure, I'll give my opinion online about it, although I am not very good at analysing books or anything like that :p
In the book club, we mainly read British classics, because we want to know the original story behind all the movies and other media. We are not really into big literary themes or anything :p
So: no expectations!

Having said that: go read it! Then we can discuss. Oh yeah!

...I'm going back through old comment notifications that got filed in the 'argh, later' folder (and lo, 'tis now later) and discovered this one. I *still* haven't finished Wuthering Heights, although I did get further through on the last attempt than on previous ones. I'm hoping that you got through, and that your book club conversation was interesting!

I'm hoping to finish re-reading What a Carve Up , and make a start on a new MS sent by a friend.

It did. I'm now halfway through another book by Coe, which is one I have not read before.

I think I'll attempt another tab-closing binge. It needs doing. *g*
