The Accidental Animagus by [Bad username or site: White Squirrel @ fanfiction.net]; it's a 580K-and-counting fic about what if Harry at five accidentally became an Animagus and ran away from his relatives to live with the Grangers, and then at eleven deliberately got involved in all the political maneuvering.

...did I seriously read that whole fic last night? I grant you I basically read it from midnight to four (hey, it rested my damn wrists), but I did not realize it was that long.

Also I am about to read Wattleford, Bumbleby. 'Potterwatch: Underground Radio and the Voice of a Revolution.' Hogsmeade: Widdershins, 2006 by RosaLui. Much shorter but I can't tell how long it is because the text-only version is a Google Doc (which, without editing privs, won't tell me the word count) and the AO3 version is apparently all images of scraps of primary and secondary sources and thus has a word count of 0.
