How did your weekend reading go? If you planned on anything specifically, did you read it?

I finished The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet and spent an hour or so afterward having FEELINGS.

Am very happy to have a better understanding of Lovelace now (having read A Closed and Common Orbit first). Must confess to wanting to know much, much more about What Happens Next to the Wayfarer, which I understand is not going to happen any time soon. :/

I just finished Kung Fu and Coffee by Karen Brichoux yesterday.

I found an old whump fic I had not read in ages, and I re-read it. It was very satisfying.

Also a friend sent me a short story he's submitting to a collection, he just finished it, and I got to read it, that was fun.

I finished Moonlight Mile by Dennis Lehane. It was a quick read; the plot's addictive.

"In Order to Live" by Yeonmi Park, a true story account of a young girl and her family trying to flee from North Korea, and all the hardship they encounter along the way.

That sounds incredibly harrowing; well done for finishing it.
