Catching up on the basic social media (DW/LJ/FB) after 29 hours on planes and in airports.

Lots of street maps.

Might start The Prague Cemetary by Umberto Eco tonight.

(P.S. Thanks for posting today)

The posters on the walls of the patient room in my allergy/asthma doctor's office. Also DW, though I'm going to have to reread [personal profile] the_comfortable_courtesan from the beginning at some point, I've lost track of at least one significant goings-on.

Twitter and related baseline, a chapter or two of The Hobbit while at the laundromat, the first chapter of a long fic, and, of course, work emails. Too hot and muggy for anything too taxing. *g*

*high five*

Tolkien is my comfort reading. I re-read The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings at least once a year and have for a long time. It never gets old. *g*

Some pages of The Silmarillion here and there. Problem was I kept drifting off in the middle of it - on account of needing sleep, not on account of disliking it. :D

I've spent the last couple of days nibble-reading my way through the Captain Awkward glossary (C-A is pretty good, I find the glossary to be an excellent primer *s*).

Link here, for the curious: Captain Awkward's Glossary

A bit of Barraclough's Introduction to Contemporary History. I had this weird idea sparked by news of Jon Vickers' death but I don't think it's going anywhere.
