I've been ill with a cold so didn't crack open any [adult] books. Read the obituary about the founder of Burt's Bees in The Economist, a bit of Twitter, a bit of FB, dabbled about in the latest Nature but nothing stuck. Read recipes for bread and cookies. Read loads of children's books as the weather was foul and the toddler is going through a phase where she's memorising all her favourites and practising reciting them after we read them.

Honestly, they're so great. Why do adult books get so boring, with all the characters being adult humans and doing boring adult human things, like being nasty to one another all the time?
