I finished a re-read of Hound of the Baskervilles, I read the comic anthology "Queer" edited by Robert Kirby, also a reread. And I'm slowly reading 'the enigma of suicide' by george colt.
The Hound of the Baskervilles is a favourite. I don't think I've come across a truly satisfactory dramatic rendition of it.
Clive Merrison & Michael Williams, radio: Decent Jeremy Brett & Edward Hardwicke, TV: Bearable Benedict Cumberbatch & Martin Freeman, TV: WTF I never want to see this again and wish I could erase it from memory
About as expected, I read Twitter and links, LJ, DW, some of Dune and some of Point of Hopes. Also began geeking out over a new-to-me e-book: the Comprehensive Guide to Designing and Weaving with Blocks. *squee*
two pages of the planned book, half the book of another that middle child appears to have returned to the library, much paperwork (lots of it filed either in the cabinet or the round file!), music.
Wahey! I hope you manage to find another copy of the returned library book before the suspense becomes unbearable.
I need to follow your example re: paperwork. There is a pile on my desk. It is a tidy pile, but most of it needs to go through the shredder and into the round file...
Turns out that book was not returned to library, but in the basket of items that went out wandering on Monday. So I'm now at page 199!
I, too, need to do more paperwork. I cannot believe the drifts of it around the house, mixing in with the drifts of clean washing, and new books without homes (closing day of charity booksale today, wherein I bought two $15 fill 'em up boxes, to the tune of ~50 books and moar sheet music I don't have time to learn. On top of other unshelved books waiting for bookshelf repairs to finish.)
