Yesterday I came home, and actually sat down and read that thing I've been neglecting for about a week.

Which means I forgot to post the Intended Reading prompt.

So take your pick, and tell us either:

We all have things we mean to read, but never quite find the time, whether it's a bunch of unopened tabs, or an ever growing pile of books by the bed.

I finally read an early draft of a friend's novella. I started nearly two weeks ago, but stuff happened, and some of the stuff that happened was other books.

I also started re-reading Midnight's Children, which I have read before, but not for at least 10 years.

I haven't been reading Ancillary Mercy and I won't have time until this weekend so it is TAUNTING ME on my bedside table. /o\

My copy of Ancillary Justice arrived on Monday, and I am not allowing myself to read it until I send all the people for whom I read their notes. So maybe, possibly, if I'm very good, I will get to read it on Sunday.

I'm currently avoiding that problem by having a very strict tab policy.

I've tried to do that but between Twitter, Tastespotting and Ravelry there are SO MANY interesting links that I simply must open..... *sigh*

Oh, I still open them. But I then spend a minute or so skimming, and quite often close again, without reading in full. This way the tabs that are left are the ones I actually do want to read when I have more time.

I read another chapter of A Feast For Crows, and I'll continue with it.

I am going to make my goal an easy one again. I have a Hannibal fic sequel to read which I haven't had the time to read yet so I'll make that a goal for this week.

Goal - finish current chapter of A Time Traveller's Guide to Mediaeval England.

Stretch Goal - another Dragonbreath book (I'm at 1.? Out of 10)

I like the idea of stretch goals.

I find them motivating. And something I can feel smug about if I achieve them, but don't feel bad about if I don't.

Mind you , I've finished book 2/10, and started book 3, but completely forgot about Mediaval England. Not sure how I count that. meh. I read, I win.
