It turns out single-parenting two children is still pretty draining, so the modest goal of a few articles in Nature wasn't met.

I did a bit of keeping up with social media, read some children's books and a couple of recipes while cooking with the toddler so not at a total loss!

I'm still bogged down by McEwan's Enduring Love so I found escapism by reading Inbetweeners fic. Rare fandom FTW!

I am delighted by the existence of Inbetweeners fic, although I'm not sure I could manage to read it, given that the canon material makes me pretty squirmy to start with. :D

I know what you mean. The show is cringe-worthy at times. (I especially feel sorry for Simon, a lot.) I haven't read much fic yet so I don't know how much of it is that loyal to the show but so far so good. :)

i've been sorting my massive list of bookmarks, reading each one as i go, and this article about invoking out of body experiences in a lab was really interesting.
