Hmmm, let's see. Lots of Twitter - and bits of articles linked therein: Guardian, NPR, CBC and Wonkette. Oh, and a couple recipes found on Tastespotting. And my bedtime reading (still A Passage to India, but nearing the end.)
Various bits and bobs of military history from various websites. Middle of the night researching Greek gods (and more military history) on wiki for a story idea. Distracted onto more wiki (random walk style) by googling to see what all the Royal baby fuss was - I pretty much managed to miss the whole story given last week's op. And I've suddenly realised today is the day all the Toby Day books release on Kindle, so now I need to go pick one or two of those up.
I've also been poking around Dreamwidth and I managed to mangle but not read much of today's edition of The Globe and Mail (national Canadian newspaper).
I hope to get back into a non-fiction book I am reading called The Constitution of Canada: An Introduction to its Development and Law by the first dean of the University of Toronto Law School, W.P.M. Kennedy.
I'm making my way slowly through The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert. It's really good, but I only have the energy for a chapter or two at a time.
Larry Wall had a problem. Then he saw regular expressions. But he found they weren't powerful enough, so he thought, "Ah! I can build a programming language out of them!"
