I quite unexpectedly found myself revisiting My Family and Other Animals, though my lungs were not amused by this exercise...

Heh. That (and Durrell's other memoirs, problematic as I find them now) are a big part of my motivation to become a natural scientist.

My father read them as bedtime stories to young and impressionable children. Along with Feynman. I have no questions as to why I turned out like I did...

Lots of LoTR, lots of weaving articles, plus Twitter et al. Avoided the grim non-fiction like the wimp I am.

Avoiding the grim non-fiction is the right thing to do if it's needed for self-care. Comfort-reading ftw.
