I actually read the assigned readings for class: two segments of Go Tell It On The Mountain by James Baldwin. It is...not anything I would have stuck with this long if I didn't have external compulsion, if I'd ever picked it up in the first place, but mehercule it's better than Black Robe by...oh what's his face. Brian Miller? idk. Some of the characters in Baldwin occasionally display ability to be kind. Black Robe, lolno.
I also reread parts of Dwelling on the Threshold by Sarah Kate Istra Winter. I gave up when I realized how much I was skimming.
I read some study notes! Not enough, because they bore me (this is one of those 'optional' units that is the best option for the semester, and because understanding the topic would be useful, but oh, I don't need the level of math I just wanna know how the practicalities work. And I can't tell which bits of the math are necessary until afterwards, and so far the bits that make sense don't appear to have been necessary)
