Since last report, I have read:

• The Vegetarian by Han Kang. This won the Man Booker prize, so I suppose it must be a good book, but all I really got out of it was a reminder that namul are delicious.
• Everfair by Nisi Shawl. Didn’t finish this — I got about a third of the way through but it all felt far too rushed for me.

I've been looking forward to Everfair, I really like her short stories. I hope the pacing sorts itself out.

You might like it! Reading online reviews, people seem split over whether they like the pacing or not. I'm not very familiar with the steampunk genre, so this might be normal, but it felt like I wasn't given enough time to get to know the characters.

Some of the urban fantasy I read is pretty fast paced. I will give it a shot.
