We all have things we mean to read, but never quite find the time, whether it's a bunch of unopened tabs, or in a precarious tower of books by the bed.

That's been on my tbr list for years, but it's never actually been assigned reading and so I never manage to make the time.

But in terms of texts I'm 'actively' reading - I have not progressed 'Wild Swans', nor have I read any more of the linked data notes I meant to get through. There are probably others that I've thought about picking up and not done so.

Oh, and all the emails and all the browser tabs and the local newspaper and the paper draft from a work colleague (at least I only go that one yesterday!)

Finishing that tedious book by V.S.Naipaul about travels in the non-Arab Islamic world, after which I shall add it to the to-be-dumped pile. Parts of it (to be fair) are excellent.

How can he be both tedious and a good writer? It's a mystery, but I know exactly what you mean with regards to his stuff.

Still trying to find time/energy to finish Nick Clegg's Politics between the extremes. Managed a bit on Monday night but nowt since.

This week I've mostly managed about 20 minutes of non-phone-based reading a day. I did wake up at stupid o'clock one night and finish off a novella, so that that as something. (I was trying to avoid looking at the time and fretting about how much sleep I was loosing, but the nearby clock tower managed to chime the hour.)
