How did your (last couple of) weekend(s) reading go? If you planned on anything specifically, did you read it?

Date: 2017-09-01 09:21 am (UTC)I then read Andy Hamiton's The Star Witness, which I'd bought for my partner. He recommended it as funny but not in the usual rollicking-laugh style of his radio comedy. Unfortunately he forgot to mention that part of the plot is predicated around someone causing deliberate harm to a child, which is a very sensitive point with me these days. This spoiled my enjoyment of it, and I would not recommend it to anyone for whom this is no-go content.
