Tin Men by Christopher Golden, which arrived yesterday via Kindle pre-order. America takes drone technology to its logical conclusion and starts deploying remote-piloted robot infantry in order to intervene in even more conflicts, then wonders why everyone hates them more. The shoe hasn't dropped yet, but our heroes just logged on for their shift and the streets of Damascus are weirdly empty (if it was a western, this is the point where a tumbleweed would blow throw town and startle the kid into drawing on it). Heading back in for another session shortly.
Twitter and various news stories linked therein, lots of thrilling, engrossing bookkeeping work stuff ;), some recipes from Tastespotting, and some snark from Wonkette
Part of a fic for getting back into writing it, some fic research/canon review stuff, part of the current novel to fact-check a plotpoint in the current scene, social media and email, bits and bobs of various fun books.
