I'm hoping to have a whole weekend free of reading stuff posted by clueless friends who are apparently incapable of checking the provenance of the rubbish they spread.

I really wish I could give up Facebook. The signal/noise ratio is poor and the Stupid is rampant but it's also, alas, where most stuff is happening. Gresham's Law appears to apply to social media.
