Almost finished the book! I think today will be the day I finish it! Then it is time to reward myself by buying and reading the much anticipated new Mistborn book: Shadows of Self. *yay*

I started The Soul of an Octopus. Reading it to the toddler - she's enjoying it.

Dipped into Nature, The Economist and Chemistry World. Actually managed to keep up with social media too.

Read some short stories from an anthology.

reading went pretty much as planned - dwircle (and working back through comments!); semi-random fic on the AO3, not much else.

I'm not sure the octopuses are all that romantic, although the author manages to make them seem so. She's quite scientific about octopus physiology and behaviour but she also infuses her observation with plenty of feeling, particularly wonder and admiration.
