I started The Soul of an Octopus. Reading it to the toddler - she's enjoying it.

Dipped into Nature, The Economist and Chemistry World. Actually managed to keep up with social media too.

Yes! It's quite...romantic? She clearly loves the octopuses. :)

A romantic octopus? Tell me more.

I'm not sure the octopuses are all that romantic, although the author manages to make them seem so. She's quite scientific about octopus physiology and behaviour but she also infuses her observation with plenty of feeling, particularly wonder and admiration.
