How did your weekend reading go? If you planned on anything specifically, did you read it? (Reminder link to intended weekend reading post)

I finished the book! It was so exciting :)

I also just started reading Jane Eyre. I am dreading reading this a little bit.. Any opinions on whether or not this is considered a boring, albeit classic, book?

The thing about classics, I've found (though nota bene, I have not read Jane Eyre), is they're usually not boring. There was something there to render them popular when they first hit the scene (classics were generally popular at first), and that something is generally still there. It may not be something to your taste, mind you, but that's a different issue.

I agree! Usually, however, I find that I think some of the classic books can be really slow. Just because nothing is really happening (plot-wise), whereas I, due to this time and age, am more used to plot-driven stories.

Nevertheless, the first chapter of Jane Eyre was a pleasant surprise: I hope it will continue to be good :)

Pretty much as planned, although I read fewer of the papers I wanted to at the depth I had been planning.

I read one short story, an MCU fic, and I finished The Girl In The Spider's Web. Sadly, it wasn't nearly as good as the earlier books, imho.

My goal was to also read game dialogue but I didn't manage to play anything. Overall, I'm still quite happy about my reading. Today I get to start with a clean slate, excited for a new book. :)

Bits and pieces of four different books, none of which were on my planned reading list.

Given all the work you put into the party - and with a sick baby, to boot - I think simply reading the cards and recipes counts as an accomplishment!

I reread Cold Comfort Farm. It seems odder every time I do.

I'm almost finished reading Boundaries. Also read a few articles I bookmarked for later. My next read is probably going to be fiction, but undecided as to what.
