I agree! Usually, however, I find that I think some of the classic books can be really slow. Just because nothing is really happening (plot-wise), whereas I, due to this time and age, am more used to plot-driven stories.

Nevertheless, the first chapter of Jane Eyre was a pleasant surprise: I hope it will continue to be good :)

Heh, I don't think you'll have any problem with finding Jane Eyre lacking in plot. It's definitely not slow. You might be ticked off by other aspects of the story, but probably not that one!
